Our Microbiome Active Ingredients

Our microbiome active ingredients

How do our active ingredients work?

At The Smilist, scientific innovation and dental expertise lie at the heart of our formulations.

Created by a French holistic dentist and developed in our Paris laboratory, our approach combines rigorous science with a modern vision of oral care — considering the mouth as a true living ecosystem.

Our treatments are formulated without peroxide or harsh abrasives, preserving the integrity of enamel and gum tissue.

Our natural microbiome active ingredients are carefully selected for their ability to harmonise, rebalance and revitalise the oral microbiota — a fundamental pillar of a healthy, long-lasting smile and a gateway to overall health.

Our principle: revitalise rather than eliminate

Our expert formulations are based on an innovative approach: acting precisely on the microbiota rather than eliminating it entirely.

In vitro tests show that Solidago extract targets seven harmful microorganisms responsible for inflammation, staining and bad breath, while prebiotics nourish beneficial bacteria.

This dual action helps rebalance and sustainably revitalise the oral microbiota, restoring a healthy and dynamic ecosystem.
